Marc Woods
Presenter
Marc is an inspiring personality. He lost his leg when he was just seventeen years old due to cancer. A county swimmer before the diagnosis, the day after his stitches were out he was back in the pool, and 18 months after finishing chemotherapy he was selected to represent Great Britain. After winning 12 Paralympic swimming medals Marc retired from international sport, and has since embarked on many new challenges, trekking and mountaineering. Amongst his many commitments he is Trustee for the Teenage Cancer Trust and works with young people as well as speaking at high-profile events such as the Royal Albert Hall gala nights.
Marc is a gifted motivational speaker and helps individuals and organisations to recognise and harness inner strength, ability and leadership skills. With excellent presentation abilities it is no surprise that Marc was an ambassador for the London 2012 Olympics, and he worked extensively on BBC Radio 5 Live’s Paralympic coverage.
